When to use this tool

- You're submitting a design mockup or UI export as a PDF.
- You want to preserve crisp pixel quality from PNG inside a printable file.
Best for
- Screenshots and bug reports
- Design and UI mockups
- Pixel-perfect graphics for print
- Documentation
Quality & file size notes
- • PNGs are embedded with no quality loss — every pixel is preserved.
- • Transparent areas in the PNG are rendered onto a white page background (PDF pages are opaque).
Things to watch out for
- — PNG-based PDFs tend to be large. A few high-res PNGs can produce a 20 MB+ PDF — compress or downscale first for email.
- — If your PNG was a screenshot of text, that text inside the PDF is still an image. OCR separately to make it selectable.

What happens to transparent PNGs in the PDF?+
PDF pages have a white background, so transparent areas appear white in the output. If you need the visual on a coloured page, edit the PNG first.
Will the screenshots stay crisp?+
Yes — PNG is lossless and we embed it as-is. Sharp text and UI lines stay sharp.
Why is my PDF so large?+
PNG files are big to start with, and we don't re-compress them. Convert the PNGs to JPG first (if no transparency is needed) for a much smaller PDF.
