Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how this tool works.
Is this for removing watermarks?
No. This tool only adds watermarks to images you own. We do not provide watermark-removal tools, as that is generally used to violate copyright.
What makes a good watermark?
Low to medium opacity (30–60%), placed where it cannot be easily cropped out (often diagonally across the image or tiled), and ideally with both a logo and text.
PNG or JPG for the watermark logo?
PNG with transparency, so the logo blends with the photo. JPG logos will paste a solid rectangle behind your mark.
Will it lose quality?
Exporting as PNG is lossless. Exporting as JPG re-encodes at high quality (0.92) — a typical, near-invisible quality loss for photographs.
Is the original image kept?
Yes. The export is a new file; your original is untouched and is never uploaded.
